Latha Kumar
Founder and Educator
Latha Kumar is an educator, Tamil teacher, writer and voice artist. Her teaching journey grew from a desire to help children learn in a simple, meaningful and enjoyable way. Experience with children showed her that every learner has different strengths, interests and ways of understanding.
She created Balakshitha as a place where children receive personal attention and encouragement, while developing academics, language, communication, culture, confidence and life skills.
As founder and educator, she leads the academy's educational programs, teaching approach and overall academic vision.

Teaching philosophy
Children learn best when they feel safe, encouraged and actively involved. Learning should be interactive, practical and joyful, with room for every child to progress at their own pace.
A message from the founder
Every child is unique. Each child has different interests, dreams, abilities and ways of learning. Our role is to create an environment in which children can learn happily, express themselves and discover what they are capable of doing.
Language connects children with identity, culture and heritage. At the same time, they need knowledge, confidence and communication skills to take their place in a changing world. Our goal is to bring these areas together and guide the child's overall development.
