FAQs
Questions parents often ask
Getting started
What age can a child start?
Programs are currently designed mainly for children aged 5 to 16. The suitable starting point depends on the program and learner's needs.
Can a complete beginner join?
Yes. Beginner classes start with clear foundations, and previous Tamil knowledge is not required for the beginner Tamil Speaking level.
My child understands Tamil but does not speak confidently. Can they join?
Yes. Conversation, vocabulary, pronunciation and guided speaking activities can help children become more comfortable using Tamil.
What happens in the free introductory class?
The introductory class is free and lasts 40 minutes. It can be one-on-one or in a small group, at a time that suits your family. We get to know your child's starting point, show how classes work and recommend a suitable program.
Do you teach adults?
Yes. Selected programs are available for adults, based on their interests and learning needs, including Tamil, Sanskrit, slokas, communication skills and cultural learning.
How do we enroll?
Book an introductory class or contact the academy by WhatsApp, phone or email. After understanding the learner's needs, the academy will recommend a program, schedule and fee.
How classes work
Are classes live or recorded?
Classes are live and instructor-led. Selected classes may be recorded for learning or revision when appropriate and permitted. Access and availability depend on the program.
Are classes one-on-one or group-based?
Both one-on-one and small-group options are available, depending on the program and schedule.
How long is each class, and how often do classes run?
Each class is generally 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the program and age group. Classes run one to three times a week, depending on the program and the student's needs.
How many children are in a group?
Groups are kept manageable so learners can participate and receive attention. The exact size depends on the program and will be confirmed before enrollment.
What device is required for online classes?
A reliable internet connection and a mobile phone, tablet or laptop that supports the class platform are required. A larger screen is recommended when reading or writing is involved. Classes may use Zoom or Google Meet. The academy confirms the platform and joining details privately.
Does a parent need to sit with the child?
Usually not. Younger learners may benefit from help getting connected. Parent encouragement with practice and homework is appreciated.
Can class timing be changed?
The academy tries to offer flexible timing for different time zones. Any change depends on instructor and group availability.
What happens if a student misses a class?
The academy shares the class recording and relevant learning materials where available, or schedules another class where possible, so your child can catch up. Parents can also contact the teacher for any clarification. Confirm the missed-class arrangement for your program before enrollment.
Learning and progress
Are books and worksheets provided?
The academy provides relevant books, activity sheets, worksheets or educational clips for the class. Parents will be informed in advance if any additional item is needed.
Is homework given?
Yes, where appropriate. Practice is based on the learner's age and level and is intended to reinforce the lesson without creating unnecessary pressure.
How is progress measured?
Progress is reviewed every month through participation, activities, worksheets, reading, writing, speaking and regular practice. Parents receive updates and recommendations on WhatsApp.
Are class recordings available?
Yes. Classes may be recorded for learning and revision. Recordings are shared only with the enrolled student or parent, for personal educational use. How long a recording stays available depends on the program.
Is a certificate provided?
A completion certificate is available for eligible programs after the relevant requirements are met.
Fees and privacy
How are fees paid?
Fees can be paid by Google Pay or any UPI app, by bank transfer, or by PayPal for families outside India. Please confirm your program and fee with the academy before paying, then share your payment confirmation on WhatsApp. All details are on the Fees and Payment page.
How is a child's privacy protected?
Student information is used for educational and communication purposes. Names, photos, videos, voice, work or testimonials are published only with parent or guardian permission. Please read the academy's privacy and media notice for details.
